About us

Carpaccio is a classic Italian restaurant located in the center of Zagreb. His cuisine is based on a careful selection of attractive seasonal ingredients, as well as top favorites of Italian regional gastronomy, such as burrata or bresaola or San Marziano tomatoes. With a written, formal menu that changes every three to four months in accordance with the seasons, Carpaccio is particularly popular because of its daily specials, which are often based on food bought at Dolac a few hours before the restaurant opens. There is, admittedly, one small problem with the daily specials - they disappear too quickly from the big black board near the entrance. Carpaccio, along with a dozen pastas and risottos, several noble bruschettas, saltimbocca, steaks, lamb chops and white fish in cartoccio, offers, of course, five to six carpaccios. It has established itself as a place that the people of Zagreb quickly and gladly accepted, as evidenced by extremely positive reviews and long lists of reservations. Carpaccio's wine list consists of around thirty Croatian and thirty Italian wines in the most diverse range of prices and styles: from irresistible and universally acceptable Prosecco, through powerfully structured white wines from Alto Adige and Friuli, to indisputable Italian classics, such as Gajino Barbaresco and Antinori's Solaia.
